Hi Jill,

Had I known you were searchin for the identity of 'Potato Top' I would have responded. I've been growin it 5 or 6 years. Doug and I are good friends. He and cohort in grime Jessica Walliser have a very informative organic gardening Web forum here: http://www.theorganicgardeners.com/forum/viewforum.php?id=3

Gorgeous tomatoes, TC!

Well, it took us a bit, but folks who'd grown my so-called "Pennsylvania Pink" and loved it were determined to track down its real name.

I really enjoyed my correspondence with Doug. I've read his column occasionally (not only when visiting... sometimes my folks clip it or send me a link if they see a nifty topic) and like his style.

LOL @ "cohort in grime" -- going to remember that turn of phrase!

If you're a member of the Garden Writers Association, they're having their Region II meeting June 27 at Phipps Conservatory in Pittsburgh. I'll be there as will Doug and probably Jessica.
