I'm having a bit of confusion with an Australian buyer, who Paypaled me in Australian Dollars rather than US Dollars. The AUD is currently worth less than the USD, so that doesn't work for me! :)
Could you, would you... Make the currency specification of USD on the prices in Marketplace listings?
Danita--
As someone who sells a lot of seeds internationally, use PayPal for your purchase (they also take credit cards). They will do that conversion for you and pay them in Australian dollars. Elimantes a lot of hassles.

I'm selling, not buying and I am using Paypal. As I said in my post, the Australian buyer Paypaled me money in Australian dollars rather than US dollars. I have no problem with using Paypal or doing currency conversions.
The problem is that Dave's Garden Marketplace does not specify in the "price" part of the listing which currency is being represented. Apparently that caused confusion to the Australian buyer who thought they were buying in Australian dollars rather than US dollars.
Currently, the top part of a Marketplace listing looks like this, for example:
Price: $5.00
Quantity available: 12
Offered started on Feb 26, 2009 1:09 AM
As you can see, no currency is specified.
What I am proposing(well, humbly asking really) is that it be changed to:
Price: $5.00 USD
Quantity available: 12
Offered started on Feb 26, 2009 1:09 AM
That way, everyone reading the listing would know that the price was in United States Dollars. I think it would save a lot of confusion as the Marketplace grows and gets more attention world-wide.
To the Dave's staff...Thanks so much for making the Marketplace!
