Hi Tamara I have a question What is the diference between Turnips and Rhutabagas several people have asked me and I simply do not know ...Of course if you can answer I would be very gratefull and if it is not too much trouble send me a D mail ...
In England we call rutabagas swedes. This is apparently a shortened form of Swedish turnip. There are a variety of related root crops in the brassica family, such as mangolds or mangel-wurzels used mainly as winter cattle food. I like my swedes/rutabagas pureed. Prefer turnips in stews.
