| Peppers can be so tempermental. This was terrific instruction. Peppers are the last thing to go in my garden. I take no chances because I love my peppers. What else gives you so many varieties and colors? |

Basil? Well, maybe not quite that rainbow of colors, LOL.
I agree -- hot, sweet, ornamental (not mutually exclusive types, either) -- I've got to have lots of peppers to plant out every year! |

| I too was surprised at how late the peppers should be planted in the ground. Our last frost date is supposed to be May 15th, so these peppers don't go into the ground until June 15th? No way will I be able to wait that long. lol But I definitley will wait longer than I have in the past. |

| At least give it another 2 weeks past the time when you plant out tomatoes (and planting tomatoes in hoop houses or WOWs doesn't count, LOL). |

| I have a habanero that's about a year and a half old (indoor container). Is there anything special they need as far as nutrients? I use an AACT (actively aerated compost tea) for watering and top dress with the vermicompost occasionally. I came across something saying peppers needed magnesium. Do you add magnesium to yours?

| I only grow my peppers for a single summer season, and they do fine with a bit of compost and/or a sprinkle of slow-release fertilizer.
I'd go by how your plant looks -- if it's thriving and the leaves are green rather than yellow, then probably it has what it needs. |
