I find myself with a lot of time on my hands nowadays since I was, like many others, laid of from my job last year.
I have always had an interest in farming, especially organic farming and horticulture, and I don't really want to return to my previous occupation.
I was wondering if anyone has started a farming business or knows of any opportunities. I live in central New Jersey.

Jay's recommendations are all good. You might also want to get in touch with you county Cooperative Extension. They could help you find farms in your area that might be looking for some new blood.
