On twos listings I had the wrong picture...I can't find a way to delete those pictures. Then...I only put the name of the plant and went to look for the picture to add. When I came back with the picture, the listing was up without a picture. So...I added another photo but it is in the wrong place now.

I give up...with over 50 streps to list...I will never get through because you can't correct your own mistakes...giving up...

Edited to say that with 'no options' to cancel a picture or change it...I might as well quit trying unless there is something someone could tell me how to change pictures...or cancel and start all over...I have created a mess...too tired to keep working when I know I will make other mistakes and have to have the option of canceling...

Patience, Gail. Dave is going some kind of upgrade to the Marketplace in the Spring . . . maybe that is one of the things that will be addressed . . . :-)

For now I think all you need to do is not actually go through the last step to launch the listing with the mistake--just leave it alone without launching it and start a new one with the correct picture and launch that one. Hopefully there'll be a better approach when Dave launches his revamped version, but even now you're not forced to launch a listing that has the wrong picture in it. And if you accidentally do launch one with the wrong picture, I think you can cancel the whole listing. I haven't sold anything so I can't walk you through the exact steps unfortunately, but I am 90% sure that there is a way to get rid of listings (any listings you've made will still show up in your seller management area, but they won't show up on the actual marketplace for buyers to see if you deactivate/cancel them)

And therein lies my issues . . . those active, closed, canceled, sold, etc. listings are taking up space . . . even sorting by listing status is not as efficient once you have more listings - of whatever status.

I promise I will never complain again about being frustrated with DG marketplace just like it is now!
Having completed a very successful ebay auction, that is the hardest work and most confusing thing I have ever attempted.

To top it off, I was packing today and put a strep in called Hot Ticket...only a bloom had opened and it wasn't Hot Ticket blooming!

I am coming home where I belong to DG!!
Many thanks for what we have available in the DG markeplace...no complaints from me anymore.

gessiegal I too made a mistake on a listing of seeds I was out of. Luckily I didn't launch it before I realized my mistake. Wrote Administartion a note to ask how to delete, or overwrite it with another seed variety. . I was told I can't and that even DG can't delete it. The advise was to not launch it. Ofcourse, I can still launch it and quickly hit cancel. I'll just leave it.

I hope that this problem gets resolved in near future. I sell on Ebay and just relist on a listing that has all the payment and shipping info already in it. Just the description and photo gets changed. Save time and typing. On Markeplace I use copy and paste to insert info from my other listings that is the same.

That is what I have learned how to do on ebay...just copy and paste...I can't wait until DG has some advances in this area...would much rather sell on DG anyday than ebay...even if I were paying the same fees...

While hitting different links in DG, I came upon where the ability to put items on auction came up. Can't remember how I got to the page. Anyone know anything about it?

There are no auctions. You probably found an early discussion page where auctions were being considered.

It may still be under construction since Dave wrote "to have fun with it but nothing does get listed".

Somewhere I also read that it is something that Dave is considering this year.

I think the under-construction feature you found was the test site that Dave had put up way back at the beginning where people could post fake auctions just to test the system out. I figured that would have been taken down when the real marketplace launched, but maybe it wasn't. As he got farther into development, it was going to be too difficult to make the auction work so he decided to focus on the fixed price listings. I have not seen any discussions of the auction possibility recently--way back at the beginning there was talk of it but I have not seen that mentioned recently (by Dave at least--other people have brought it up). People have bumped up some old threads from time to time, so make sure you look at the dates on threads--this idea has changed and evolved over time so if you read an older thread the info may no longer be relevant.

ecrane3 Thank you for the explaination. I saw the test site a few days ago. Didn't notice the date, if there was one. Still can't find where it was. Guess it don't matter since Dave has no intention of launching it. Personally, I like it the way it is now.
