I dont see the reccomendation button to change from no to Yes, but I love them.

I planted oxeye daisies this spring. Most of what I read speaks about have invasive and agresive they are; hence why I planted them. I live in the city and surronded by many vacant lots. What I understand is that these plants spread underground as well as by seeds (500 seeds per plant). With this many seeds the empty burned out / weedy lots will not look so bad.

If anyone wants bulk seed you can get some from American Meadows. I have ordered their seeds for the last couple years; great service and great quality seed (and bulbs).

These may be famous last words, LOL... but I wish mine spread more! I have a few clumps of them, and I just love them.

If you haven't done so, please add your comments about American Meadows to the Garden Watchdog! :-)

Loved your article. I'll take oxeyes over shastas ANY day! We just transplanted a bunch from the fields around here to a slope behind our rock wall. They look great and we're definitely hoping they'll spread. And I've got 2 vases full of them- picked an armload when I was out walking the dog yesterday :)

I just got back from seeing my mom, and they're in full bloom all around her neighborhood, too.

I have a spreading stand of Ox Eye daises in my garden. I love to look out at them on a moon lit night - they just pop out in the corner of the garden. They spread easily but are also easy to control- if you would ever want to!

I'm with you -- no controlling here, I pretty much let them grow where ever they show up!
