Hi, folks! I'm a visitor to your forum for the first time. I'm heavily sunk into the gardening forums, including landscape design, however.

I wanted to share with you a web site I just spent a bit of time at. I have several restored vintage pieces from Hickory Furniture Company and just wanted to cruise around here. Here's a pic of a sofa like mine; I purchased mine from a friend older than my mother (and I'm 61) about 30 years ago and had it restored. She and her husband had brought it from New York many many years ago. I doubt that there are any marts hereabouts, but I love their shops. They have a really nice little room planner you might be interested in seeing. It's a great little page, which you can lay out your room with pieces, move 'em about and such.

Check it out, if you're interested, at http://www.hickoryfurniture.com/ . And, if you know that another forum might be interested in the opportunity, please feel free to forward this topic to them. Perhaps a design forum or such.

Enjoy!

Linda

Thanks for the information. It is what I was looking for. I am in the process of buying items for the livingroom, and placed furniture where I thought it should go. Was also able to shrink and enlarge different pieces as I went along. Funny thing is that I went to add my cat to the room design and now have the cat laying on the new sofa. This is much better than those little notes and drawings that I do all the time and then misplace.

Cool, Ivy! I'm pleased you found it useful. It's a nice little tool.
