Hi Geoff: Where could I get some seed, or even a young seedling, to Bonsai this most exquisite tree?? Also, I am in Zone 5, so I assume I would have to bring this bonsaid in over winter...thanks!

If mine was old enough I'd send you some, but mine hasn't made any seed pods yet. I am sure you could find some seed on line somewhere, but I don't have time to truck off the the arboretum and collect anymore (too hard to compete with the squirrels anyway).. have to get there on just the right week ... but if I do, I may have some extra as I sure don't have room to grow these

I got my Brachychiton seeds from Rare Exotic Seeds in Canada (http://www.rarexoticseeds.com/).

I have a collection of various Brachys all germinated from seed and live in 9a/9b zone in Melbourne,Australia where all are growing well.I have tried several species as bonsai specimens and all resisted stunting, they generally seem to prefer to have strong apical dominance and resist branching after pruning.
