Hi all, I'm needing a basic 12 x 18 oak base made for a quilt stand. Basically just a rectangle with a routed edge about maybe an inch and a half thick. I know nothing about woodworking with power tools. I have everything else to make my stand except the base. I don't know any woodworkers locally either. If you can help me out, send me a Dmail please. You can always find me over in the beginning gardening forums and the quilting forum. Thanks!
Are you sure that's big enough? The antique quilt stand our DIL has is about 3ft wide and about as high, with dowels between the ends. Can display 3-4 quilts.
There are probably some wood mills or cabinet shops in your area that could make what you want.
it should be, this one is going to be for a single quilt display rather than the traditional type where the quilts are folded over a bar. Thanks, I will check it out!
