I am in the process of cleaning out last years bird house gourds. They sat outside all winter and I am now scraping the outside skin off and I will be drilling holes in them and then digging out the seeds. My question is...are the seeds viable to plant this year? I'd like to grow another crop, but I need to know if I can use these seeds or if I will need to order new ones. Thanks, Staci

Azalea, yes I believe you are right. I was only uncertain because the gourds were left out in the winter. I didn't know if it was ok for the seeds to freeze.

Cut a seed in half with the scissors and if you see white in there, they are good to go..
