There are at least 3 ant beds in my small flower garden. Should I just accept them or is there a safe way to get rid of them?

thanks!

I want to grow flowers on my pier, but everything I grow is eaten by muskrats or maybe rabbits. Is there a plant that is considered untasty to animals? Lantana perhaps?

thanks
