I admire Sunset's the most but tropicbreeze, that Sunrise would definately challenge any Sunset my "eye's" have seen.

Thank's for sharing.

Rachel, I often feel a bit left out with no great scenic mountain vistas from my place. But on the other hand, there are some compensations for living in a relatively flat terrain, there are both great sunrises and sunsets. When it comes to photographing them, I'm more inclined to do it of a morning, but afternoons I'm usually flat out trying to finish off jobs before dark. And getting this close to the equator darkness comes fast.

This is a sedate November sunrise.

And a rather subdued March sunset (a few years back). Have to keep an eye out tonight. There's a bit of cloud around and might get a better one.

Beautiful! Mlassi, your daughter has "the eye" indeed! Tropicbreeze, love the sunrise at least as much as the sunset, but I rarely wake up to see it! Now, no matter how early I would wake up, I could never see it, the Franklin Mountain blocks it...

Mérida is only about 20 miles from the Gulf of Mexico, yesterday we went out to visit friends who are building 2 houses on the beach. In the summer, the sun sets over the water and I thought of this thread when I got a couple of nice photos.
