What a great plant stand. Did a great job in transforming it. Now I wish I hadn't thrown away an old BBQ I had here. At that time I wasn't even thinking about what I could do with it, just wanted it out of the yard. I will look closer at things before I decide if they should be in the trash or not.

Glad spring is here, but today it is so gloomy. Waiting for the rain that was promised. Keep on coming up with new things Sammut, you are so creative.

Hi to all,
The rate changes and I dont keep up but our dollar is about 50odd cents to your dollar so I must confuse people when I state a price I paid half the retail price for the statue .
I never pay the retail price I buy seconds and give new paint jobs even pots only buy on special and check out other out lets before I buy.
Tomorrow is my birthday my son has given me a new statue here he is.-----------Sammut.

I like receiving gifts too. I saw this nice buddah at the Big Lots store here, but no price on him. I should have asked since there was 30% off. My one buddah belly plant that came up is starting to grow more leaves so guess I'm not neglecting it too much. I'd like to have a couple more plants then have a buddah sitting among them.

I think we all want our spot of paradise. I love all your ideas, Sammut, and when I get back from my trip to see my sister I'm going to get busy and get everything in order. I have a beautiful angel for the yard, but having decided just where she should be. I'd like to put her out front, but think someone maybe like her too and I'll be without my angel. I decided I need some more shepard hooks and I keep hoping I'll find one at a yard sale or thrift store. I may have to break down and buy one new...no trash to turn into treasure that way.

Your ideas are just great!! I just repotted a nice spider plant, boy those roots really get big. Have a smaller one that I will put in a hanging pot. I haven't taken a picture of the octagon table, minus the glass top, I got out of the trash, but when I do I'll bet I get some good ideas for it. When I first got it I had the idea of putting it in the yard and doing something with it for my plants. Just need that extra push to get me going.

Love your garden shed! If I put something up high I soon forget about it. I did that with an oblong planter that I put mint in and one day it came to mind where I put it. It was OK though, out of sight out of mind. I have such a nice stand to set plants on if I could just decide where it whould be put out in the yard.

Good morning to all ,
I know its your after noon , It is raining here so heavy I had 60 MM [ mil. metre] over night so I am showing a small drip bottle I have larger ones in 2nd storey . I bought the orange tops in a dollar shop pkts have 4 tops they fit most screw top bottles . I have others I made - a very small hole in the screw top I used a hot darning needle you want the water to drip not run and just push into soil .
The hanging chain I found cheap dog chain was the best I clip a link in the vice and saw one side of link in half thate way you can unhook the chain and you have the hook to hang the chain .
I try to place things in the yard where I can see as I walk into the yard and seating same thing.
The drip bottle is on my messey desk.----------Sammut.

Your mind must work 24/7 with such clever ideas. I sent for some aqua bowls for watering my indoor plants. They are so pretty, and fragile. I should have done some comparison shopping as I could have gotten them cheaper at Wal-Mart store and no postage and handling. Haven't tried them yet, though. Now, if I had been a little creative I could have used your method, Sammut. and saved myself some money. Have to check with DG members before doing any more buying. :-)

Hang it on a wall or fence and use it as a frame for one of your statues or a real pretty plant.

Cut it in half, add board across the wide cut part and hang as a shelf or (small side down) as a plant stand/ side table

Hmmmmm can't think of any thing else unless you put plywood where there used to be glass...You have done some awesome painting ...

You could put plywood where there used to be glass and do a mosaic.

You could also waterproof the bottom shelf and the fill the table with plants. It looks big enough to play around with several levels of plants. I'm picturing something like several levels of rosemay plants with Christmas tree lights.

Great find.

Hi Juanita, the octagon table is still sitting here where I see it every time I pass by. DH and I were talking about it just the other night, maybe hanging it on the fence or wall. The idea of a place for statues and/or plants sounds good, but since we both procrastinate so much nothing has been done. I always wanted a grotto for a statue so maybe this can be one. Just got a beautiful bust of the Blessed Virgin from my last trip to thrift store and I would love to set her outside in my garden area.
