I realize that most pruning cuts will heal on their own; however, is there a spray or sealant that can be used to prevent new growth? I was particularly thinking about supressing the regrowth of suckers at/below the soil line of my Crepe Myrtle.
I have the same problem with my crabapple tree. I'm going to try a product called Sucker Stopper. I've never used it, so I can't give any advice. Anyone else have helpful advice about suckers from the soil line?
