I have used them occasionally over the years, kept in my flower arranging kit. I keep some florist 'stick-um' to stick the kenzan to the container if necessary. The florist 'stick-um' is like plasticine, comes on a reel/roll, with waxy paper interleaved between the rings. To describe it to someone, I simply say it looks like 'a bed of nails'...
I saw the vase frog for the first time as a kid. Awkward to use a/c the diameter of the holes. A ball of chicken wire would probably provide the bit of support needed just as well. I have one but never used it - I prefer floral foam "Instant Oasis".
My MIL uses chicken wire inside a beautiful cut glass dish and then covers the mechanics with boxwood sprigs. I tend to do a lot of rearranging and fiddling, so floral foam doesn't last well for me LOL.
I'm glad to know about the florist stick-um... sounds like it's a made to order solution!
