How magical your article is to read. Memories flooded back re: my Grandparents gardening inspiration. They had a big vegetable garden, Peach and apple trees, Grape arbor and rose garden with gate and an arch dripping with roses. Also later in life, a neighbor lady provided guidance and more inspiration with a yard full of crocus, roses, lilies, wildflowers...jack in the pulpit in profusion (the beautiful black striped variety), red maples, peonies...alot her Mom had planted back in the 1920's!!! . An amazing place. She was so generous with her time, advice and plant material...these are the things which matter in life most, in my humble opinion.
