Well, you could paint a board for a garden sign, and nail it to it? Or maybe cut one off a little to make them both the same size, then make it like a gate entrance to the garden area?

You could just paint them with bright colors and stick them in the ground as decorations all by themselves. Put a few pots around them, voila! Garden art!

I've seen smaller versions painted white stressed, and then used as big chunky candle pedestals.(just removed the ball part on top)

Put dowels in them or large nails to hang plants from.

I like that idea with the plants. it could also just hold various bird feeders with decorative hooks.

Great posts to have found in the trash. I have one that we took down when we remodeled our half wall. I just know it belongs out in the yard, but didn't know just what to do. Now I'm getting good ideas along with Lindawin. Mine doesn't have a ball on top.

Im thinking I want to go with wrought iron plant rings on these posts. But all I remember is seeing the rings that hook over a patio rail. Does anyone know if I can get plants rings that screw on? Linda

Stick them in the ground and top them with old telephone glass insulstars or mismatched ,or unsused glass tumblers.

You should mount a bird house on 1 and a feeder on the other
