Gitagal Baltimore, MD (Zone 7a) in Southernly PA had a couple of them!
We (a bunch from the Mid Atlantic Forum) visited these huge, lovely Gardens in May of 2008.
Only an hour's drive N.E. from hot and humid Baltimore--and there it was!
Great place! Plan to spend a WHOLE day there if you go...It is amazing!!!

GardenQuilts Pocono Mountains, PA (Zone 6a) If it grows there there is hope for me here. My climate is a bit cooler than Longwood gardens. I am trying to embrace the plants that thrive in my zone and be patient waiting for my roses. I would definitely wilt in Baltimore, I suffer enough in the Pocono summers. I don't like weather above 85'F either.
whodeytink Ellicott City, MD Hmmm, if they grow in Longwood maybe I should try one in Maryland - the weather is pretty similar though very hot and humid in the summer.
