This is a really good article - I have noticed some of these insects - and you are right - there is nothing more disappointing to see lovely plants all chewed up. But what I really need to know is how to get rid of these pests. Is there a spray or powder that I can put on or around the plants without harming the plants?

I agree. Will definitely help knowing just what kind of bug is doing the damage.

As redladybug asked, other than hunt and pick, what do we do to control them?

Glad you enjoyed the article. Next Monday, my article is about biological/organic control and beneficial insects, and it ties in with this one.

Anything we gardeners can do to limit the use of chemical pesticides and herbicides is a positive step for this planet! :o)
