It is true that they are so, so beautiful.

However, here in the Southeastern US they will not tolerate
the heat.

Many plants that would easily be cold hardy here are not
"heat hardy". Alas.

What about the north side of a building? I saw them in Denver under such conditions...Denver can be hot but it is not humid so maybe that's to their benefit.
