Hi,
I am new to this site...thanks to TwinLakesChef for the invitation. I am building a business on our 3 1/2 acre acreage. It will be a ceramic and arts business and will eventually sport a greenhouse. I need ideas for the landscaping. I have limited funds with starting a new business as we are trying not to go into debt too much. I am posting a picture. The front door will be the main entrance which faces East. The bay window faces North and is the first thing they will see when coming into our lane. I am planning on a patio area between the two doors. There will be a wall of some sort before the back door which will eventually go into a greenhouse. This wall is because of the tremendous winds we experience here in Iowa in the winter and we need to protect the greenhouse in any way we can. Tall plants are not always an option because of the winds. What ideas do you have out there for adding height to this area? I am excited to find this site and maybe next year at roundup you all can come out here and tour our new business which will open this fall. Diane

Arlene,
How do you find time to do anything else but be on this website? I am addicted...I knew I would be. You and I know that I have things to do...places to be...lol. Thanks for the threads. I was going to ask how you find all the threads. Is there a main area that says where they all are?
Thanks,
diane

Click on the tab at the top: My Tools

The next screen that comes up has a menu on the far right that says My Tools

Click on: Preferences

Then the menu will expand and show a choice 3 or 4 items down that says; Forums

Click on that and all the forums will be listed.

Go through and put a check mark in front of the ones you want to watch

Everytime you open the website, those that have new activity on them that you haven't viewed will be listed.

Once you start a thread, it will pop up every time there is new activity
Once you post on someone elses thread it will pop up every time there is new activity you have not viewed.
And if you read a thread that you DON'T post on but want to keep up with, you just click on "Watch Thread" toward the bottom of the screen.

;)
