I have a large sunroom with a high ceiling and skylights. I would like to grow an indoor vine that will grow from a large pot up to a suspended bamboo trellis. I want something that will grow all year round. I get plenty of sun in the room but in the winter it is a bit cool in the room. Most of my existing plants do very well in the room. Any suggestions?

Philodendron or Golden Pothos. Both are easy care plants, but I think the philodendron will climb easier up towards the light.

Ditto. There are interesting philodendrons other than the plain green. I'd do a little checking around.

Thanks for the suggestions. I have some Philodendron in the room and they do well. I will look for a new variety.

Grape ivy, (cissus rhombifolia) is another good one. http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/54583/

We used to have the most beautiful Purple Passion plant, the one with the velvety purple leaves, sorry I don't know the scientific name off the top of my head. It's color practically glowed in the sunshine. We grew it from a pot in front of a sunny balcony slider and it was long enough that we had it draped over the top of the slider and along the ceiling. It was quite a conversation piece and stayed quite pretty for many years with regular maintenance and care.

sounds like a hoya carnosa or a hoya pubicalyx would be happy there - and would bloom too in a few years
