We have a beautiful magonolia with star-shaped flower and deciduous leaves. I'm not sure which one exactly, For years I thought it was Magnolia stellata but ours over 12-15 feet tall and I'm not sure they get that big. It's not what I would call a "shrub", it's a tree. My son tasted the flowers and said they were delicious, but he didn't eat them. Do you know if they're edible?
