Critter, like others have already mentioned, your article brought me a great deal of pleasure. Thanks so much!
Kind of wish I could have enlarged the photos for closer scrutiny, though, because they're truly spectacular.
Two questions: 1) If you'd been able to purchase bulbs, which ones would they have been? 2) Mind sharing which ones you plan to order from the catalog?
To repeat others' responses, I'm looking forward to your future articles!
'Albert Einstein' daffs and 'Flash Point' tulips were two that we both loved, so they're on the top of my "gotta havit" list for fall planting. I'll also add more of the larger crocuses (I put in a thousand crocus bulbs when I did the new daff border in back, and the bunnies didn't munch the "giant" crocus as badly as they did the snow crocuses back there). And I'll probably add more of the "little blue bulbs" that are used to such good effect at the Keukenhof (Scilla siberiaca, especially 'Spring Beauty', Anemone blanda, muscari, etc.).
Oh, and I wish the editor software allowed easy enlargement of photos... it's do-able in theory, by adding a link to a full sized photo in another location, but it's a time consuming work-around.
