As you may recall, my Samoyed got skunked back on Feb. 2, which prompted a discussion about skunks among the writers. I just wanted you to know that two-plus months later, she still stinks, even after two professional shampoo/groomings and a good trim. And by "still stinks," I mean I still can't get near her face without gagging.

All we can guess is she must have been right behind the skunk and caught the full force of the spray directly in her face, but not her eyes. (I think the groomers are reluctant to use a lot of perfumes and soap near her eyes, and I don't blame them.) I think it caught her in the mouth too--it makes her normal doggy breath would be a breath of fresh air at this point. We're hoping another month or so will bring relief.
