| I'm glad the article finally showed up. The suspense was killing me, LOL.
I've never heard of the various "winters" you discussed, so fascinating!!! I'll need to take note of the bloom times of the trees and berry bushes now!
Thanks for the info,

| Thanks, Bev... I hadn't heard of a couple of them (whipporwill and the wool britches one) and was so amazed to see the redbuds blooming 2 days ago! |

| Thanks, Rachel... I wonder if folks ever named the winds like we're getting today? LOL. |

| I had forgotten that. You will have to ask your neighbor Buster;-) I mentioned to someone not too long ago that Virginia should be called the Windy state anymore.
I was in Marion yesterday evening and you guy's where getting quite a bit of snow coming down as we were leaving Walmart. Right up the road in R. R. it was Sunny and no snow. According to your artical two more cold snap's to go. I am very much ready for all the cold to stay away.
Happy Gardening. |

| Okay folks... get ready. Blackberry winter and frost warnings coming to the southeast over the next couple of days (May 17-19 for me). I can see buds on my blackberries gearing up to open! This should be the last of it for this year... |

| I hope it's definately the end of a "threat" for frost. It's after May 15th for pete's sake;-) Our projected low's are 39F for tonight and 37F for Monday night which is too close for comfort for this gal. We will be covering our veggie's for sure.
Wishing all the best.
Happy Gardening

| Rachel, I'm in a tiny microclimate and will surely have frost tomorrow night, if not tonight. I bought 2 bales of straw yesterday to use over tomatoes and other tender plants. |

| I don't know where to start first in covering vegetables and flowers... I think the herbs will be alright. My raspberry canes are blooming in the dang bucket, and the strawberries are starting to turn red today! I believe we all forgot about spring and started straight into summer, or at least I did.
