Another "atta boy" for you. People not living in the area will find this fascinating and those who live here know it to be the truth. I dread each of those winters and I know they will come. Devota

Thanks... it was a fun article to do, even though I dread those "winters" still to come before I can truly plant everything safely.

Okay... get ready. Blackberry winter and frost warnings coming to the southeast over the next couple of days (May 17-19 for me). I can see buds on my blackberries gearing up to open! This should be the last of it for this year...

Hey there...We have blackberries in full bloom here. It is supposed to be in the mid to low 40s tonight. Hope you don't get a freeze there.

You must be just a little ahead of me, zone-wise. I don't expect frost tonight, but perhaps tomorrow night... I'm in a tiny microclimate here. I'll put straw over the tomatoes I planted too soon! Everything else should be okay because we shouldn't get a hard freeze.

    Hi Darius,
Yes, I think we are in 6B and too, I have a southern exposure and some protection so we're usually fine unless it's a hard freeze. Devota
