Well, I think most of us have those days when we like to just sit around, and lounge all day in our jammies, or at least most of the day, so I thought we could just give each other a new pair of jammies, or night gown. When we have one of those lounge days, we can put on our jammies from out Sistah, and think of her while we are lounging!
You will have to state your size, (not online) so once I give names out, I will d-mail you who you got and their size and color preference, and also if they like pj's, or a gown.
Make since to you all?
So if you want to sign up, do so here, then D-mail me with your color choice, your size, and if you want PJ's, or night gown.
Please keep in mind, that we all don't have the same stores, so don't specify a certain brand. We may not be able to get it! This is just for fun, so lets see what we can come up with. I will not make you take a picture of you in your jammies, but you MUST post a picture of them here.
Dollar amount is up to you, but I think we can find some decent jamies for around $20.00.
I know this is a little early, but I thought I would let the sign ups begin!

I take names until 24 April. Names will go out on the 25th. Please have your boxes mailed no later than Friday 1 May.

Make sure your current address is in the address exchange, so we can find your mailing address!

Ok, Ok, I have to participate. I'll Dmail you my preferences.

I'm not so much into Nightgowns, and don't like stiff feeling PJ's. It's unfortunate, but it seems they make the top too tiny and the bottoms to big for PJ's. I do great with a size larger for a top. Unfortunately this isn't possible if you buy in a set. Well, almost. I sometimes will swap a top. Oops, did I say that out loud?

Anyway, any color will be fine. Hubby likes slinky, I like comfort. :)

The Doctors have decided I am suffering from Disability Syndrome: here is bizzare thing I found on the net while trying to find out what this is:

The sick role inevitably provides secondary gains. It is often related to the desire to control one’s environment; it can:

1. elicit care, sympathy, and concern from family and friends;

2. provide financial awards associated with disability.

3. use an apparently disabling illness as an explanation for one’s failures;

4. afford the means of avoiding work ;

5. restore status or domination in the family;

6. achieve revenge for bad treatment or bad pay by an employer or an insurance company ;

There are therefore, many types of secondary gains, not just monetary reward: we can understand why some patients continue with symptoms after financial compensation.

And now I know I am just nuts, and / or out to get all of the above...

Well, I am just appalled,, the doctor says I should be in pain, Says I have degenerative spinal disease,, so tell me,,, how come it did not hurt before now?? I mean I have had backaches,, everyone has those,, how come it is so much worse now? Being rear-ended by someone doing 75 miles per hour has nothing to do with this? I am confused,, The Doctor offered to treat me for the disease,, and then told me he has" to answer to Workmans Comp"?? Said I will have to pay him for treatment,, could not slide by with workerscomp,,,

Did you choose this Dr, or did workers comp send you to him?
Workers comp, and to pre approve any and all Dr. visits, treatment and meds, before you see him.
Always ask the Dr, before you see them, if they take workers comp. Not all Dr.s do! Do you have a claim number from workers comp
?
Sometimes a person can have a bad disc's, and have no pain, until one day, you move just right, and move something, then it will pinch a nerve, and be very painfull no matter what you do!

Even with workers Comp, you have the right to protest a decision they have made, and if you were working at the time it happened, you can get a lawyer to help you out. There should be one that will take your case on a contingency basis, that means you don't pay anything until the case is won! Did the place you were working, have any health insurance for you? That may cover some of the cost?
I know every State has different laws, but please at least call a lawyer, and ask him these questions! The first visit should be free.

Good luck.

Now wouldn't I be a vision, nightie or p.j.'s and an apron..

just before Christmas I had to throw out my old nightie, tattered at the wrist, must have caught the bottom in the door or something because it had a rip..finally into the garbage, almost cried, next morning when in search of it, couldn't let it go but the garbage pick up had been and gone...awwwww

I too create in my Jammies, but not with paints...with food! lol
I love to cook and first thing in the morning the house is quiet and it's just me and my coffee. (not really, it's me, 4 dogs, 1 cat, 2 outdoor rabbits and one indoor) Anyways, I get a brain-cramp and start cooking things up and my jammies get hit hard. Working with berries and their juice is one of the worst stains...daylily pollen is a close second. :-)

But I bet you are just so comfy doing it aren't you?

So funny you mention lily pollen..here I was this afternoon at the little local restaurant and the had cut lillies, of course I couldn't just look I had to smell..came back and the girls wanted to know what was the matter with my nose and upper lip...that stuff is hard to get rid of isn't it...

I'll never forget a day 6 or 7 years ago we lived in town,a storm was coming so I thought I'll get a hot bath before it came.Well I'm in the tub,hear Rick,my DH losing his mind about something.So I jump out of the tub and throw on a silky nightie,nothing underneath.By now it is storming bad,wind, rain,lighting ,hail.Well DH had lost his mind because the cable had went out.We look outside and see the Trampoline had left.Not wanting it to damage the neighbors property or hurt someone or blow on the road,we go after it...LOL.Now picture this,a 40 year old fat lady in a silky nightie soaking wet ,chasing a run away trampoline through the neighbors yards.I could envision the headlines in the paper "Forty Year Old Fat Woman Gets Struck By Lighting Chasing Trampoline In Her Wet Silky Nightie".All the neighbors are standing out watching the commotion...I wanted to die!!!!!

By the way the cable went out because the trampoline jumped the clothes line but took out the cable line for everybody.

Oh Juanita,the stories of me in my night gown go on.We now live in the country.Last summer about 9:00 am I hear a horn blasting outside,we live along a main secondary highway,very busy and a lot of semi's.Well I go out on the porch in my RED T-shirt materal nightie with a big Mickey Mouse on the front,that is quite thin since I have had it for 20 some years,I love it.To see a car in my drive, because one of our Belguim Halflingers is standing along the highway.So here I go with a bag of treats trying to get this 1500 pound horse off the road and back in the field.Not a quick task,so traffic is stopped in both directions watching me in my red see thru mickey mouse nightie and my horse going up and down state route 332.

I like fairy's, pixies, (no kiding, right?) so I have a few pairs of child-like PJ's with pixie's and other characters on them. I am also the mother of 5 children...I do not believe in beatings but I do belive in "unconventional lesson's" . Now to the Pixie Jammies and children's lesson's.
DD # 1 loved school, hated the bus, wanted to be driven to school.NO
DD # 2 hated school, always missed the bus and wanted to ride to school with her 'friends'. NO.
DD # 3 Sport nut, embaressed of book worm older sister # 1 and rebel sister # 2 and of course me too. Did not want to be seen getting on the bus at our house so she would try to catch it a few houses up.

Sooooo...this was my solution:

I had my hair cut very short, spiked it with gel, but on my best Tinker Bell Jamies in Lime Green and my furry Purple slippers. I then made a sign that said:
I AM NICHOLE, TIFFANY, and TARSHA P... MOTHER. THEY WON"T BE TAKING THE BUS THIS MORNING.

I then marched up the stairs one half hour before the bus came and told them if anyone of them failed to be out there on time I WOULD BE...sign and all. All 3 girls made the bus that morning and every morning from there on out. The BUS was no longer an issue.:-)

Glad we could give you a chuckle or 2. I still go out in my jammies...children are grown up now and won't stop if im outside not dressed in reg. clothes. I guess that means I can choose when I want company or not. lol

The neighbors have seen some get-ups im sure they didn't want to see but had no choice. I'm out there every morning, snow, rain, wind or sun feeding 2 bunnies who have adopted me. The male rabbit even marked me as his a few weeks ago. He rubs his chin to mark his scent...ran right up and rubbed both my slippers. I'm his. lol

I had them like this...1978, 1979, 1980, 1982, 1987. I was then certifiable from 1987 to 2005...i've recently become a free women. The youngest turned 21 last Oct. and I sighed and cried! lol

Funny story...We had to go to court one time(well many times),but this once and I was PO'ed and so was he...his EX wanting more money.Anyhow he said I need a pair of jeans and I said i just folded all the clean jeans ,there is the piles get a pair.So he did.The whole way to the court room I kept harping at him to tuck his shirt in,well we get outside the court room and had to wait a few minutes and I'm still harping,so he lifts his shirt tail to tuck it in.I busted out laughing and said honey Please don't tuck in your shirt,well he wanted to know why since the last hour I had harped...on the front pocket by his hip it said WOMENS RIDERS.He had put on and wore my jeans...LOL.

I always appreciate the little things, like the handmade card and gift bag. Those were so cute, and the Soaps, WOW, what can I say? I love Lavendar. I can't wait to use the clay soap. I hope you sell those soaps. They are worth buying. How wonderful and exciting!

Oh, and now on to the jammies. They are so cozy and cute. They are just what I needed. Something comfy and something to answer the do in. LOL.

On another note, I must, truely apologize to my swap buddy. I still haven't shipped. It's a good thing, because now I feel like I have big shoes to fill. I have my Final Exam tomorrow at 5 and it's expected to last for 2 hours. I'm soooo stressing. I do apologize. After that I will shop some more and send out my box. My buddy will appreciate me being late. I try hard to make it up. LOL.

Back to studying for my exam. I'm so nervous.

Celeste, Those jammies are so cuttteeee. You should go to the grocery store in them. I would! LOL. Get a pair of nice little black strap sandals, shave your legs and pits, put on a bra, do your hair and makeup and ta da. U go girl !

Mine will be worn to the gas station, if I'm wearing them and need cigarettes.

I did get pulled over one night coming from the gas station. I was wearing a somewhat, see through short sleeved sweater, no bra and the ugliest shorts. I was ready for bed and I had to run up for some cigs. I crossed my arms to protect the girls when I was in the station. Thank goodness a girl I knew was working and no one else there.

Well, back to getting pulled over. The officer kept asking me if I had anything to drink, and I repeatedly told him NO. After the third time, I confessed and told him that I wasn't interested in doing a drunk test in headlights because I looked awful and I didn't have a bra on. He shook his head with a grin and walked away with my information. I ended up with a seatbelt citation, but that's it. And, no I don't drink.

LOL. LOL. LOL.

Fiddleheads are a type of fern we eat...they grow wild in the woods, near streams and rivers. They are full of vitamins and minerals...I love them. Can only be eaten in the spring here and you have to watch where you get them from as they will absorb toxins from polluted soil and water.
Here's a page on them...
