here's a nice gold leaf elderberry I recieved a small plant of in trade a few years ago and planted it in dappled shade beneath some pines. It failed to grow much or show the gold so I moved it year before last when I put in a butterfly garden outside the picture window of my new room. Grew better last year but just looked green to me...but oh what a difference another year has made. Here it is this year settled well into it's new location.
