Here's a picture, see how it has two different sprockets, one for the pedals and one huge one for the motor drive. You can barely see a Triumph logo on the saddlebag.

My brother had a Norton Commando - were they also from the Triumph line? He died a few years ago but would have been stoked if he had known that our Grandad had an early one!

I just happened across this forum and I know this is an older thread but I googled and found this info on a vintage Triumph Motorbike. This says it was the first all British Motorcycle. It looks a lot like the one in your photo: http://www.webbs.co.nz/auction-item/triumph-tourist
