I just received in the mail the many dahlias I ordered from the co-op; I think there are 18. As you can imagine, my eyes were bigger than my stomach. In any event, we're going to be out of town next week and this week is totally filled with things to do to get ready. I have an unheated (but insulated) garage to keep them in but the question is what's the best method for storage. All the tubers are in their individual paper bag. Is it safe to just keep them there? If not, do I put them in peat? As you can figure, this is my first try at growing dahlias and I'm in the dark. I just know all you experts can steer me in the right direction. Thanks so much.
