You know I've never tasted creasy greens, but have always wanted to! I like about any kind of greens so I'm sure the creasy ones won't disappoint... and the nutritional benefits are terrific!! The recipes sound great and I'm more determined than ever to try some!!
Darius! Thank you so much! Great Article as always, but I'm glad that you have some new recipes for me to try. Fresh Creasy Greens are my favorite of all time...you know, with brown beans, corn bread, & fried potatoes...Nothing like living in Apppalachia. :D
Great article Darius! Gosh...I have those growing all over here...lol. Guess I'd better try them! I love watercress...grew up with that , since we had a nice cold spring/with springhouse...so think I would like these too.
Thanks Darius! I was raised in Lee County, Va, and grew up eating "creses", as my Aunt called them. In the spring we would go out to the field that had grown corn the year before and pick bags of them. My Aunt said the seed for the "creses" came from the 'gov't fertilize. I know they always grew where the corn had been, and in the spring she always tried to beat my Dad to the field before he plowed them under.I doubt I could buy the seed here in Texas. What a memory, eating "creses" and cornbread with a onion...
