You know I've never tasted creasy greens, but have always wanted to! I like about any kind of greens so I'm sure the creasy ones won't disappoint... and the nutritional benefits are terrific!! The recipes sound great and I'm more determined than ever to try some!!

Thanks again for the info and recipes,
Bev

Thanks. I have my garden pretty well-planned for this summer but I'll buy some seeds for a fall planting. I'll share some seeds if you'd like...

Darius! Thank you so much! Great Article as always, but I'm glad that you have some new recipes for me to try. Fresh Creasy Greens are my favorite of all time...you know, with brown beans, corn bread, & fried potatoes...Nothing like living in Apppalachia. :D

LOL! Darius, I spread it (the word) every chance I get. In my book there's nothing better than a whole pot full of creasy's cooked with salt pork! ;)

Thanks Darius! Being a city girl from up north, I've never heard of these (or ramps) but definitely interested in them. Thanks for a great article!

Dee, I am an "almost city girl" so I had heard of creasy greens but this was my first opportunity to try some fresh. I missed the boat by not making cornbread to have with them, though.

This is great! I always wondered what those "weeds" are that I furtively picked for salads. Never knew whether I was on the verge of poisoning myself.

Thanks Darius! I was raised in Lee County, Va, and grew up eating "creses", as my Aunt called them. In the spring we would go out to the field that had grown corn the year before and pick bags of them. My Aunt said the seed for the "creses" came from the 'gov't fertilize. I know they always grew where the corn had been, and in the spring she always tried to beat my Dad to the field before he plowed them under.I doubt I could buy the seed here in Texas. What a memory, eating "creses" and cornbread with a onion...
