Can anyone identify the period or where this may have been made? My husband's family has had this since the beginning, but he doesn't remember anything about it.

This is an Empire mahagony sofa appr. 1840-1860. If it's an original, it's most likely from France. If it's a reproduction, it could be from anywhere.
