| I found this sculptured marble full size bathtub on the curb in my neighborhood. I am covering it with hypertufa. When I'm going to fill it with herbs and other trailing plants. This photo is with the hypertufa partially on. The next photo with all the front done. Click the image for an enlarged view.

It should go on most anything. I wrapped chicken wire around the tub so it would have something to stick to.

What a great planter you are going to have. A friend in Minnesota is having all the inside of her house remodeled and out in back is the old bathtub. I commented on using it for a planter and she said her workers are going to make into one for her. Can't wait to see that come together.

I understand you REALLY need to wash cement (and I would therefore quess hypertufa too) really well for it to be safe for fish, particular NEW cement.

Yes, the lime will leach out. It needs to cure for several months before putting fish in something hypertufa.

The possibilities are endless!! Don't think I mentioned the formula I used. I used 1 part Portland cement, 1 and 1/2 parts peat moss, and 1 and 1/2 parts perlite. I have a bunch of old lamp shade. I am going to cover them in hypertufa when I get a chance. I think I will cover the inside and let it set up for a day and then turn it over and cover the back.
