LOL. I picked them up from my area freecycle network. When I picked them up, the woman asked 'Hope you dont mind, but Im curious to what your gonna do with them?"
When I told her I planned to make gazing balls out of them, she quickly grabbed a pen and paper, wrote down the instructions and said "my son has 3 more bb's in his closet, I may have to try that myself!"
LOL---you're lucky she didn't change her mind on the spot!!
My DH brought home 3 last year that were in the gutter (no pun intended) in front of a house he was redoing some electrical stuff on. They're REALLY scuffed & torn up, but I like their colors. I'm trying to figure out if there's a way to just coat/polish them as they are so they're pretty again.
I waxed one with car wax and buffed it up, it took about three coats, but it looked great afterwards and the finidh lasted a couple of years before I needed to put annother coat on.
nice job scoring those BBs... if I bring one more home, DH might just run away from home..lol so, I better stay clear from seeing any near any gutters..lol I have a hoarding habit and it's something that I was born with I think, it must be in the genes..lol
Well, I hadnt planned on four BB's to begin with, I thought I was only getting one, but when I went to pick it up, the womans son came out with a box of them! Who am I to turn away an orphaned BB?
