From 1850 to 1878 Daniel D.T. Moore, published a newspaper called "Moore's Rural Newyorker". This paper covered agriculteral news and the entire 1861 to 1865 collection can be view and downloaded here.
Lots of interesting gardening and livestock information as well as civil war news.
