I have a corner in my backyard that has hosta, coral bells, and split leaf philadendrom. All of these plants survived through the winter. I have asked your suggestion if Gardenia would grow here, but now I am changing my mind and was wondering about Kahili Ginger. This area is partly shaded by the ornamental pear tree. Do you think that Kahili Ginger will grow here? I spoke to a landscape designer and he suggested this plant. I just saw them at my nursery and was wondering if you think they will do ok. I am trying to create a tropical garden in my backyard and I think Ginger would be great. What do you think?
Thanks!
