I moved into this house in the fall and have anxiously awaited new spring flowering so I can identify what I have. The elder bush/tree is now blossoming and I am wondering how to prune it. It is about 8' tall and not very compact. It is in morning sun only and the soil is most likely acidic because of all the pine trees here.
How much and how do I prune it? Do I have to wait until fall?
Do I need to feed it and change the PH of the soil? Other care tips?
