Steve will begin collecting his SS disability in August 2009. He is eligible to start collecting his state retirement in 2011. How does this affect his disability. Is there a penalty or is there a limit as to what he may collect in retirement benefits. He worked for the state of MD for 13 years and expects to perhaps get about $900 in benefits from that system.
