Jill, thank you for your article on Alpines, a recent interest of mine. I just planted 12 each of three varieties which I ordered from alpinestrawberries.us in Delaware. It is a wonderful website resource for Alpines, and it's near you. You may want to visit them. I was facinated by your comments on the ease of sowing the seeds, which is a contrast to all other comments I have read about how difficult it is to get the seeds to germinate. Can you give me more details about how you sow the seeds? Also, I think it would be great to form a group forum to share information about our experiences with Alpines, and maybe even share seeds or plants from time to time.

I think we could probably discuss alpine strawberries on threads in one of the existing forums & get more participation than by trying to start a new forum.

I winter sow the seeds with good success. See my article here http://davesgarden.com/guides/articles/view/585/ or go to the winter sowign forum for more information.

    :-)
