It has been a year, everything I ever listed is still in my product listings, in the way, making it harder to list anything new, is there ever going to be a way to permanently delete those old items? Or at least put them somewhere I never have to see them again????
Please?

I have to agree with buggycrazy, I have a few mistakes that occured when my connection was bad and I couldn't upload photos, so those are just stuck there now forever canceled...
On the other hand, I hope that it will remain a choice, if we are able to totally remove old ads from our litst, since they might contain information we would need to access. I know a bit about databases and I know you can't just delete records that have connections to other records.
Maybe a solution would be something akin to putting old e-mails into folders on the side?
Which brings to mind my list of orders. I am stoked that the Marketplace has been so successful!!! But it would be nice to be able to "put away" some of the older sales as well ;-)

I'll ask Dave if you can have a 'dormant' folder to move things to.

Would that help?

I think that would be great.

Yes that would help-I have hundred of old listings (it seems) to sort thru and it is getting too hard to find current ones, or ones I want to relist.

I think that would be a great idea also.

I just listed my first item on DG, and I am amazed and dismayed that one cannot simply delete a listing. I am a book dealer by trade, and very familiar with all sorts of listing tools. I've never used one where listings cannot be deleted. I was expecting a "post this listing" link, so one can work on the listing until it is ready. This should be immediately addressed. DG is getting 3% of sales, I would think some maintenance would be in order. Of course, this was my very first time listing here, so I won't make the same mistakes again. That said, the tool is very easy to use.

THank you.

It would be super-awesome if we could delete listings after they are no longer relevant. Like Lahana, I have some one-of-a-kind things that I will never be offering again like a specific plant, "the exact one shown in the photo", and such.

I have added the ability to delete a product. Go into your "Manage your products" area:

http://davesgarden.com/products/market/sell/manage/index.php

And you'll see each product has a "Delete" link. Caution: once you delete it, it's gone!! If you're only wanting to temporarily disable it, use "Cancel" instead.
