This is my second year of planting this cute little flower. Last year, I transplanted them from winter sown in full sun underneath a potted rose on my deck. They died before they ever bloomed.
I am quite interested in this little plant but can't find much information. I live in a hot, humid, area. Sometimes, when directions say sun, I put the plants in bright shade. For example, I grew heliotrope last year in bright shade even though the directions say "sun". They did great. So, I am in a conumdrum as to where to plant these babies. Intially, I thought I would put them in full blazing sun window boxes on my deck. But, now, I am rethinking this choice. Pleeasse advise me as to where to locate this plant. North, South? (that''s where my entrances are and I want to enjoy the fragrance. Sun or shade? Pot or in the ground? What would you plant it with? Plants that like shade or plants that like sun? They are ready to plant out somewhere. I know they are from South America, but I am still reluctant to put them in sun.
