What scares me most about spiders in general is that they seem to bite w/o you knowing until you have this huge welt on you. I worry that much damage will have taken place before I discover a bite. I have been trying hard (and nagging hubby) to wear long sleeve shirts when doing anything other than watering for some added protection.

I was also worried about pets being bitten, your article has set me at peace. I don't think I have seen a BW, and I don't want to.

Thank you so much for the information.

Interesting article!
My great uncle was a civil enineer, and the cross hairs of his
transit were strands of black widow spider web.
