That's a good looking fruit, there's nothing like a homegrown pineapple. What you get in supermarkets is rubbish. The flowers are only just starting to come up on mine, be a while before I'm eating pineapple. Do you fertilize yours?

Edited to say: had a closer look at the photo, that's a philodendron selloum in the background.

Modern name is Philodendron bipinnatifidum, Tree Philodendron.

Funny, I was just watching a gardening program a little while ago and they refered to it as Philodendron selloum. I'm not the only one who has trouble keeping up with name revisions.
