Does anyone know a recipe to make spackle ( stuff you fill holes with?)
I'm hoping I have the ingredients instead of buying some. I want to paint my son's room and bathroom but need to fill in the holes first.
Thanks, Elizabeth

Are they big holes??

If not. If they are say... just nail holes and screw holes, you can use toothpaste. It has many of the same ingredients as spackle and it dries hard. Gel toothpaste won't work. Only the white stuff.

Thanks I have that. I just didn't want to spend money if I didn't have too. As so many I'm sure my money is tight. I've got the paint just not spackle:)
Thanks for the help

Good thing about it is that if you get some on your fingers, you can just lick it off. LOL

tastes better than regular spacle also, i assume.
Can I sand it or should i try to make it smooth with a finger?

You can sand it just like regular spackle. But remember, the GEL doesn't work. Only the old style paste like original Crest or Colgate.
