I really enjoyed your article! I am definitely arachnaphobic, and Black Widows are probably the most dreaded spider of all, so it was very helpful to learn that most bites are not fatal. I was also relieved to hear that most pets are not at risk because their fur forms a protective barrier. I had not thought of it like that, but it totally makes sense. I worry so much about the dogs, because they couldn't tell me they had been bitten and through their coat it would be virtually impossible to spot on your own. It's good to know there's a low chance of that happening.
I live in Nashville and have seen a handful of black widows in my life. Creepy creepy!
Now my skin is all crawly, just thinking about it. :P
