My house too is a black widows favorite spot. But, my problem is that they not only love to scatter themselves throughout my yard and garage, they love the inside of my house. I spend the season continuously scooping up black widows and taking them outside. I am not a fan of them being in my house, but I don't know how to keep them out.
I have learned everything possible to learn about them and see them all the time, but they still give me the heebeegeebees. I don't know if it is possible to ever get rid of that.
What you said about pets is true, but I still worry. My cat has a habit of getting excited at something to play with and leaping on and playing with spiders that walk across the floor.
