A new introduction from the horticulture dept at the University of Saskatchewan.
No idea if there are others out there that look similar to Audrey but I sure think she's special.
BTW she's expensive...I bought 2 and each one was $20.00 (but the greenhouse was donating $19.00, out of the $20.00, back to the University to help pay for their summer student program). Thankfully both were a mature size.
"Volunteers helped sell a new U of SK coleus variety (Audrey III) at Persephone Theatre from mid April 18th to May 3rd. Persephone Theatre performed the play “Little Shop of Horrors” which is about a man eating plant named ‘Audrey II’. The University of Saskatchewan's ‘Audrey III’ coleus looks like it has teeth dipped in blood with blood-coloured veins.
Proceeds of the plant sales are going to fund school trips to Persephone and for Student Horticulture projects at the U of Saskatchewan."
