Any variety of dracaena, spider plant, I have a fittonia in low light conditions. It's doing fine, ok it grows slightly slower but it's fine.

I don't know what else other than what people have already suggested.

I've done well with a Coffee Plant, Poinsettia (Get them at Christmas time) and Bamboo. I have full spectrum fluorescent lighting though, so I'm not sure how well they'd work in your basement.
